Change at the top of ERDF, a subsidiary of EDF in charge of distribution. It Michèle Bellon, previously Director General of Dalkia – the joint venture with EDF and Veolia – who will succeed Michael Francony. An appointment will be approved at the supervisory board scheduled Tuesday, March 16. For Henri Proglio, the new chairman of EDF, distribution is a crucial topic. At the point of throwing a bomb in evoking the idea of separating employees common to EDF and GDF Suez in charge of this activity. "The teams ERDF complain of a lack of ambition and the sense of not really being part of the group. They also undergo feedback from customers regarding service quality deemed inadequate. Finally, teams must share sensitive business information with their main competitor, GDF Suez.On arrival, all this is very much ", said Henri Proglio earlier this year (read the Figaro, February 12). In other words, the roadmap looks Michèle Bellon particularly busy.

The online banks will have to convince the French still reluctant. A BVA survey conducted for the Dutch bank ING Direct, four out of five French are not ready to transfer all or part of their funds in a bank online.

Requires close

The first reason given for their refusal is the need for closeness (89% of responses). Even if they are not all satisfied with their current bank, the French chose an institution primarily because it is easy to reach from home or workplace. Then (74%), fear of having no one to contact if problems or unexpected. Finally, the desire to maintain a customized report with a counselor is paramount for 68% of the 736 respondents with an internet connection … and 73% of them feel just as consultants online banks are unreachable.More surprisingly, the French fear the formalities of transfer of accounts and especially the closing costs from their current institution. But the closure of checking accounts are paying more since 2005!

Fresh lean

Yet the French recognize the qualities of online banks. Some like their fee policy on current operations or the free cards are recognized strengths. 35% of respondents spoke as a major factor in choosing a bank. The hourly range is also appreciated. That leaves working on customer relationship … ING, which currently has 750,000 customers in France, with 500,000 more expected within 6 months.

Hesitation waltz yesterday at the Paris Bourse. After being undecided, the CAC 40 has finally risen from 0.17% to finish at 3910.01 points. Everywhere in Europe, stock markets have evolved sawtooth almost the entire session. At the finish, the indexes have ended in no particular order, the FTSE in London lost 0.08% while the Frankfurt Dax gained 0.17%.

The Paris market has recovered very end of the session, thanks to a small recovery on Wall Street. The NYSE, which also lacked enthusiasm in the morning after his fine recovery in recent days, trying to take a step forward at mid-term.Shortly after the close of European stock exchanges, the Dow Jones advanced 0.19% and 0.41% on Nasdaq.

While the pressure on the issue of debt Greek gradually eased after the successful launch of its loans, Fitch has rekindled concerns about the market deficits pointing to management by Portugal's budget deficit.

Banks in trouble

The rating agency said that a worsening credit rating of the country was "not excluded" bad credit payday advance . The market was also dampened by a load of the other major rating agency Moody's, against British banks.Analysts at Moody's explained that many of these institutions could see their grades degraded "to run if they failed to significantly improve their financial strength."

In Paris as elsewhere, banking stocks were immediately plunged into the red. Crédit Agricole has finally lost 1.41%, 1.49% Societe Generale and BNP Paribas 0.51%. Natixis fell by 0.78% and 0.93% of Dexia. Bad passes also for EADS. Among the few increases in the day, Areva has distinguished (+ 3.59%) while held in Paris an international meeting on access to civilian nuclear power, the great specialty of the French group.

Nicolas Sarkozy is he fell off the bed? The Head of State arrived well ahead of schedule Saturday morning at the Salon de l'Agriculture in Paris. While appointments had been given to the press at 9:00 am, for arrival between 9:30 and 10:00, the President took everyone to court in arriving at 8:30.

Half an hour before the exhibition opens to the public, and while all the journalists had not yet arrived, the head of state has been able to finish a quiet and calm in a tense situation. It is accompanied by Ministers Bruno Le Maire (Agriculture) and Michel Mercier (Rural Areas and Regional Planning). It has been particularly welcomed by Jean-Michel Lemetayer, president of the National Federation of Farmers' Unions (FNSEA).

"Nicolas Sarkozy is taking its time"

While departing from the tradition, the president has not opened this year's Salon de la Porte de Versailles, it was eagerly awaited by farmers who suffer the brunt of crisis. The Salon de l'Agriculture has always been a difficult visit to Nicolas Sarkozy payday advance . Two years ago, his baptism of fire as president had led to a controversy surrounding the famous phrase, coined a visitor who refused to shake his hand, "Casse-toi pauvre con". Especially, the current president's hard to bear comparison with his predecessor.Jacques Chirac is in fact very comfortable in the exercise, which he demonstrated again Friday during a visit acclaimed.

"It seems that Nicolas Sarkozy, who usually do not linger in the aisles of the Salon, decided this year to take more time to listen to farmers," explains one of the envoys of Figaro on site, which also describes the security services "tense". Anxious to avoid overflow, the bodyguards of the president are intractable. The Roundtable, scheduled for the morning with representatives of the agricultural world, will take place elsewhere out of sight, journalists are invited to follow from the newsroom.

More to come on lefigaro.fr …

The wait dominates before confirmation of support from the European Union to Greece. Investors await the meeting of European heads of state tomorrow Thursday after which a European financial aid for Greece should be announced. But doubt persists. "In another hour it was announced that EU countries have agreed in principle to a plan of aid to Greece and then they deny this information," says Patrick O ' Hare, the financial website Briefing.com.

The dollar begun to rise again against the European currency: 1 Euro 1.3732 U.S. dollar is exchanged.Raw side, the barrel of "light crude Texan" is 0.63% to 72.99 dollars on the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex).

So probably mingles the concern over the remarks of Ben Bernanke. This has not announced any increase in rates but this is considered soltuion. The discount rate will he, as the statement implied the rumor in the markets in recent days.

Regarding statistics, the trade deficit the U.S. has continued to widen in December, rising by 10.4% compared to November, while analysts expected him to be reduced.

Walt Disney released Tuesday

After Hours, Tuesday, Walt Disney (-0.60% to 29.66 dollars) has released stable profits over one year to 844 million, or 44 cents per share. But excluding special items, earnings per share were 47 cents against 39 cents expected by analysts.

Airgas Inc. (-0.29% To 61.17 dollars) has rejected a hostile takeover of Air Products & Chemicals, describing it as "inadequate".

Arcelor Mittal, the world's number one steel, said it earned 118 million dollars over the year 2009. But the current financial year looks difficult. The U.S. market (-7.43% to 36.56 dollars) endorse the title in Paris.

In addition, Micron Technology (-6.72% to 8.48 dollars) announced it would buy Holodings Numonyx, a producer of memory cards, for $ 1.27 billion.

The bank is not affected by ads for Ben Bernanke.JP Morgan Chase (2.37%), Bank of America (2%) and Goldman Sachs (1.36%) support even though the odds.

Baidu (+9.27% to 475.35 euros) reported a fourth-quarter earnings up 48% to 62.7 million. The competitor Google (-0.08% to 535.95 dollars) in China publishes a profit of $ 1.8 per share.

Dell (+1.99% to 13.52 dollars) has been "upgraded" by Bank of America-Merrill Lynch to buy from neutral.

The Japanese automaker saw decidedly dark days. It's Honda's turn on Wednesday recalled more than 400,000 vehicles, after the Toyota case (1.39% to 75.64 dollars).

And Omnicum, a direct competitor of Havas, which was pleasantly surprised by France, issued a profit decline of 87 to 73 cents per share. The title is almost stable (1.42% to 35.75 dollars).

Currently, industry professionals, such as Michelin, Valeo and Faurecia still revolve overstaffed by about 25,000 jobs to outsourcing and 14,000 for the equipment of one rank, that is to say those who deal directly with major manufacturers."By adjusting the calculation from the future evolution of automobile production lights and possible productivity efforts, the Task Force falls even on an estimate of 40,000 to 50,000 jobs too," reads in columns the business daily.

The job cuts have already begun. Already, in late December, all suppliers were documenting 265,000 employees, or 35,000 fewer than in 2008, and 55,000 fewer than in 2005. Plans starts or closings of sites, almost all companies have downsized.

Positions on an ejection seat

Thus, 2010 will be another year of unrest in the area. Last year, pressure from Molex or Continental was rising power.

According to the Committee Estrosi, all branches, with the exception of the forge would be affected. The report mentions the possible disappearance of 7 out of 10 jobs in the molds and tooling in just two years, reports Les Echos. In rubber, overstaffing are estimated to 5,300 jobs from a total of 46,500.

The radar screens already viewing site closures. As the unit of Plastic Omnium Sandouville or that of Noyelles les Seclin Michelin.Furthermore, Visteon should further reduce its workforce, for example on the website and that of Gondecourt Renault Flins.

Moreover, the stress that a reorganization Echos – Meeting of the eleven branches in three areas – at Valeo lead to further job cuts, especially "in the administrative and executive officers," according to a coordinator CFE-CGC.

Ways to do better

This commission set up by Christian Estrosi, comprising manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors, trade associations, research organizations, trade unions and elected officials, was intended to provide short-term measures to support sub-contractors in trouble, d 'solutions to better anticipate and better support the structuring of the industry .

Following the presentation of findings, Christian Estrosi and had announced last November some measures. Since the creation of a fund within the Fund for the Modernization of Automotive (FMEA) for sub-contractors of rank 2 and up. It especially allows easier access for SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) of the automotive industry to 2 billion euros managed by OSEO and the ISP for the strengthening of equity or quasi equity, established under the plan SME financing.

On the accompanying measures of economic and strategic changes, the state funding of strategic diagnosis for SMEs in the sector is provided for those who request it. Also, a platform or "stop" will be formed under the auspices of the Prefect, to inform SMEs.In addition, a working group on employment trends in the automotive industry has been launched. As a "scientific board" to provide a technical and manage the excess capacity of different sectors.

Regarding measures related to innovation, the government called for better coordination between clusters Motor (MOVEO, ID4Car, Car of the Future).

Christian Estrosi had said in late November that he was "very attentive to the establishment of partnership relations with all suppliers, large or small. A similar quality and price, was the preferred logic ecosystem around local produce suppliers.

The Exchange requested evidence

At the Paris Stock Exchange on Monday, Michelin lost 0.9% to 53 euros, Valeo drops 1.9% to 22.2 euros, Faurecia coward 1.33%, to 14.4 euros and sells Plasctic Omnium 1 13% to 25.4 euros. These companies sign strongest stock declines in the automotive sector.

For Paris-based analyst, "this plan is good news for the French automotive industry because it sends a strong signal of government support." He said he especially aims to create a shock in the short term."In market terms, it is likely that this plan has already been partially played, and he must demonstrate its ability to limit the drop in auto sales scheduled in the months to come," he said.
